EARLY CONCEPTUAL ANIMATIC
This is a very early layout to define the necessary shots and needed live action or VFX pieces. As you can see tested shooting live action car elements for a pure compositing job, but ultimately decided against this approach and used instead a full CGI car dummy.
EARLY CAR DRIVING TEST
This was one of the first tests we did in order to find out how to rig and animate the CGI car within our existing footage. This also was to determine how to leave tire tracks and marks in the sandy ground from the original arena, as well as dirt on our cars tires.
